Junior & Family English Courses
Introduction
The Family Programme
Summer and Easter Camps

Introduction

The  Junior and family English language programmes at Letterfrack cater for all ages and abilities in a beautiful and relaxed environment. Children and young people learn and improve their English through activities and play. Parents and older family members can also participate in activities and language learning. As all courses and programmes are tailor-made to suit individual and group needs it is possible to specify hours of English tuition required, group numbers and other activities to be included.
School groups can design a course programme to suit their young people's needs and abilities. Letterfrack is an ideal location for a school group as there are lots of activities available in the area, language learning can take place on same campus as accommodation and young people will be studying in a very safe environment.

The family programme

The family programme can be designed to meet the needs of all ages and abilities. Children can be enrolled for as many or as few hours of tuition as parents require. There is an emphasis on learning through play and activities which stimulates language learning. Children can also participate in all the activities that are available from Heatherhill cottages in the afternoons; Irish music and dance, hillwalking, a range of adventure activities including surfing, kayaking, body-boarding, and hillwalking, and horse-riding.
Parents can also enrol in a programme of study and activities.

All study programmes can be continued from home through the internet-link option which re-inforces and continues learning that has taken place in Letterfrack.

The houses at Heatherhill provide ideal accommodation for families. The houses are large and very comfortable with 5 bedrooms, large kitchen/dining area and sitting room as well as two bathrooms and a study room. All houses have large gardens .
Children can play with other students, who are staying at Heatherhill in the afternoons and evenings. There is alot of space in Heatherhill dedicated to relaxing and playing with barbecue and seating areas as well as childrens play areas and go-karts available to the children staying at Heatherhill. It is a common sight to see children (and sometimes parents) playing soccer on the lawns in Heatherhill.

Parents do not have to worry about bringing their children to classes as the accommodation and classes are  usually held on the same site within the Heatherhill complex. Sometimes lessons are held at the Furniture College in Letterfrack which is a third level college a few minutes walk from Heatherhill Cottages.

Summer and Easter camps.

The summer and Easter camps are ideal for older children and school groups. Children can either be accommodated at Heatherhill with parents or teachers , or with host families if they are arriving unaccompanied. Pick-up at the airport can be arranged as necessary. The mornings will usually be the class time and English language learning will take place in groups of up to 12 students with an emphasis on learning through activity and while having fun.
Language learning can continue in the afternoonns and on some evenings when the children can take part in  various activities such as hillwalking, water sports, team sport activities and set dancing and music sessions.
The content, hours and length of courses are flexible. So please email us with your requirements and a course will be designed to meet your needs.
